Tuesday Tune vol 36 - Muse

Today's Tuesday Tunes are the set list from the Muse show that transpired in West Valley City, Utah on April 5, 2010.  Today's Tuesday Tunes are also a tune or two or four from Xanadu.

As someone who has been through the trenches of that fabulous E Center (in West Valley City, Utah), can I give you some unsolicited advice?  If, by chance, you have the pleasure and/or opportunity to attend an event at this E Center, DO NOT take the 215 to get there.  Take I-15 to 45th or 33rd South and head West.

Being as we were not well versed in the parking and traffic situation of this E Center, we chose the 215.  It took us an hour to get from the off-ramp of 215 to the parking lot--a total distance of half a mile.  And poor Spouse.  He had to endure a complete hour of yours truly singing along to Xanadu.  Thanks to the mePhone, I googled up some lyrics and sang along.  Badly.  Loudly.  And obnoxiously.

Here's what I sang to my beloved:
Suspended in Time
(All from Olivia Newton John)

Then Do You Wanna Be Happy All The Rest of Your Life - Jimmy Soul.

Here's the Muse Set List:
New Born
Micro Cuts
Map Of The Problematique
Supermassive Black Hole
United States of Eurasia
Take A Bow
Feeling good
Undisclosed Desires
Unnatural Selection
Time Is Running Out
Plug In Baby

Exogenesis: Symphony Part 1 (Overture)
Stockholm Syndrome
Knights Of Cydonia

All right folks, this is the last post you'll see for a while.  Maybe a week, maybe less, maybe more.  Who knows.  I'm up to my eyeballs in real life and cannot attend to my fairy-tale blog-life.

Until then, may The Force be with you.

I do my best to avoid the 215. Always a nightmare.

I thought you went to the show with Vera, not Spouse?

Our seats were next to Vera's. She rode up with her kids and home with us.

The question is did you park in Xanadu?

rabidrunner said...

Do you mean "park" or park. They mean different things, you know. Spouse is too tall for "parking."

better watch it. the editor and owner of the 215 might be watching.

All right Ryan, you get the "Make Rabid Laugh Real Hard" Award! I see you subscribed to the comments of another post?

If only the owner if the 215 knew how little influence I have. Perhaps they could contact google for analytics before deciding to bother contacting me.

Everytime I have forgotten about that jem of a movie, you remind me again. *as I am dusting off my 45 record of Magic*

You know, I was about to be extremely furious at you for going without me, and not even thinking if I would like to join you in the singing of Xanadu and the concert....and then I read the set list....and they didn't play my absolute favorite song...so I am not pissy anymore.

Too bad you didn't have skates.

Olivia Newton John...You're a fan? I love finding out all these bits and pieces about you. I used to sing to her records while I stood on our coffee table when I was 6 or 7. My favorite memory is singing "Let's Get Physical" as our babysitter looked on wondering if I had any idea what I was singing about.
I'm sure your husband had a loverly serenade from you..

The fact that you have referenced Xanadu and it's music makes me like ya even more!!I spent a good portion of my early childhood wanting to be Oliva Newton John. I still have Xanadu on VHS do you want to gather for a party?
