Today is quite possibly the happiest day of my life. Today's importance might surpass that of my first and second born's birthing days. I cried more tears of joy today than both Yahoo's births combined.
What happened? I'll tell you what happened. Meb Keflezighi (USA) out-kicked 5-time Boston Marathon champion Robert Cheruiyot (Kenya) to win the New York City Marathon. An American hasn't won the New York since Alberto Salazar won it in 1982.
The last mile between these two champs (like I want to spell either of their names again) was the most tensely exhausting mile I've ever watched.
Or run for that matter.

That record is older than I am, crazy. Runner legs are so delicious. Triathletes have the whole package of yum though. I can't even imagine what it must be like to run that long that fast. Maybe in my dreams....
Yay Meb!
And I thought maybe I was the only one tearing up...
How could I forget about this post?! It would be amazing to run a mile at that pace, let alone an entire marathon at such.
