The workshop was with Nichole Van. I've been to quite a few workshops and this one tops it. She's a technical writing professor gone photographer - which makes her an awesome instructor. She also wrote this 250 page masterpiece of a book to go with the workshop.
Interestingly, she's very popular outside of Utah (even though she lives and works here). I was referred to her stuff by my new photographer friend Megan Holdsworth who is based in AZ. (http://www.holdsworthphotography.com/)
She had just returned from Australia doing workshops and working with Joey L, who really is one of my new favorites. (http://www.joeyl.com/)
Winder - do you have any of your old prom dresses? I'm thinking 80's prom rehack for your family photo.

What a great shot! I love how you cropped it to get rid of the shadows (all of my evening shots have them). Great meeting you last week!
I've been missing you.
Ummm... My prom dresses are still around, but they would only fit around one leg.
