I take issue with this post due to the fact that it was in fact posted on Thursday--not Friday. Therefore the whole thing may be considered fraudulent and dishonest. Now I'm not sure that I can believe your vast musical knowledge blah blah blah--has everything else been a lie?

This is my favorite band right now. As well as the Led, as in Zeppelin.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Beatles (Get it? Nothin' you can do that can't be done... nothin' you say that can't be sung).

I wouldn't say that it's mockery... I just didn't want to take the time to write what everyone already knows!

Speaking of Love... have you heard the new album? Pretty great.

You're right, everyone knows the basics.

Actually, I have heard the "Love" album, and I really like it. What I like best is (unlike most remixed CDs) it's all original Beatles tapes and it was remixed by George Martin. Other remixes have drum machines and synth, and usually they stink.

Of course, it taunts me a little that there's all these old Beatle tapes in the vaults, they should remaster it all and release it.

p.s. Have you heard the "Hate" remixes? It's still really good, even if it does have the drum machines, etc. It's available for free online, because the Beatles forbade it being sold.

More on "Love"... I was taken completely a-back (how do you take someone else's back?), or enamelled (enamored?) with Hey Jude and the Sargent Pepper Reprise (Tracks 24 and 25).

Towards the end of Hey Jude, the Naaaaa, Naaaa, Na, Na, Na, Na's start and repeat themselves. In the original recording, you're ready to say No No No to the Na Na Na's. But in "Love"... it's genius. Pay particular attention to the base line and the way each time the Na Na Na's occur, something new is added. Fourth dimensional music at it's finest. Then to top it off, there's a hare-raising metamorphis into Sargent Pepper's. It's almost like they were meant to be together.

Sargent Hey Jude Pepper you Na Na Na me.
